The Author
Richard A. Payne is a Freelance Writer.
He has written for many magazines and newspapers, like INDIAN COUNTRY
TODAY,
BEADWORK MAGAZINE, FORT COLLINS
COLORADOAN, NATIVE PEOPLE'S MAGAZINE to list but
a few. He has written and published four books; COLLIN THE
CANADA GOOSE, CHARLIE THE SHY COWBOY, RICK
& JIM'S REAL REEL INDIANS and THE BANJO AND THE
TELESCOPE (the first in a series of foreign language books, it was
written in English and Russian). His next two books are written in
English,
Spanish and Chinese, and English,
Spanish and Arabic. Rick wants to encourage
people to learn and second and third language. Rick has also written training
material and textbooks for several very large American corporations.
He has some experience in film making as well. He worked with Michael Koury
of Optical Audio Productions on two films; IT IS A GOOD DAY TO DIE,
about Gen. George Custer and THE QUALITY OF LIFE; FORT COLLINS, COLORADO,
the truth is his family has a great deal of experience in film making. Rick has
several ideas in development for film projects.
He originally trained in the field of nursing, but returned to college to
study Fine Art (art, literature, theatre arts and radio and television
broadcasting), he earned an A.A. in Fine Arts Degree.
He returned to college to study Secondary Education, and earned a B.A.
Education with a major in Communication Studies and a double minor in
Drama and English. He returned to college to study Education, and earned a M.A.
Education with an emphasis is Diverse Learners. He moved to Fort
Collins, Colorado to work on his Ph.D. in Educational
Leadership at Colorado State University, with an emphasis in
Counseling. Richard A. Payne is a very well
educated man.
He has worked in fast food, nursing, retail sales, title insurance, law
enforcement, education and property management. He has held licenses and
certifications in nursing, education, title insurance, as a general
contractor and as a dealer manager in chemical pesticides. He began working with
young people in 1968 and continued doing that through 1995. He is a strong advocate
for education, healthcare, juvenile crime issues and children's rights. He
is very active in the Democrat Party, but he has as many Republican friends as
he does Democrat friends.
It is this varied and diverse background in education and experience that has
made him a fine freelance writer.

Richard A. Payne
loves foreign languages, which he believes only remain "foreign" until
we make the effort to learn them. He enjoys walking down the street in cities
like Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada where you can hear 20 languages being
spoken within a city block. So please indulge him and forever what he does to
this language if it is yours, he tried.

Tengo gran ideas para cuatro (4) nuevos libros. Un libro es
escrito en inglés, español y chino, uno en inglés, español y árabe y dos
(2) en inglés & español. Dos son mi más tradicional de tipo historias de
historias, basado en cosa que tiene sucede realmente a mí. Uno es una clase de
historia de tipos. Está acerca de los hombres, los buques y la batalla de la

And something in French
in memory of my mom.
Ma mère, Marjorie Rees Clark était né et a élevé en
Pennsylvanie. Son père était vétéran de la Première Guerre Mondiale. Il a
été rendu infirme par cette guerre. Sa maman est morte quand elle était cinq,
partant l'être élevée par un vétéran rendu infirme. Il a combattu en
France
et a vécu là pour la partie de 1918, tout 1919 et partie de 1920. Il a appris
du français et l'a enseigné elle. Elle a aimé la langue, et a essayé de
l'enseigner me. Je me suis rendu compte de l'expérience comment dur à entrer
en la guerre avec les gens que tous parlent des langues différentes. Comment
dur en fait, le ce doit être à pour le monde pour régler la différence ou
accomplir « n'importe quoi » sans les gens qui parle plus qu'une langue? Mon
neveu était le premier soldat de
Colorado
pour mourir en
Iraq
, dans cette guerre actuelle qu'Amérique lui-même trouve impliqué. Mes amis
apprenant une seconde ou un tiers ou une quatrième langue est une étape vers
aider le monde grandit hors le besoin pour la guerre et devient un monde à la
paix ! 'écris des livres dans au
moins deux langues commençant avec LE BANJO &
LE TELESCOPE, dans les espoirs qu'il encouragera des enfants pour
apprendre autant de langues que leurs petites têtes et les petits coeurs
peuvent tenir. Je vous demande de
m'aider dans deux façons…trouve un éditeur pour publier ces nouveaux livres
et l'un, étaler le mot de mes objectifs et travailler en obtenant vos amis pour

The truth is both my
mother and my father could speak a second language....they both spoke pretty
good Spanish and mom some French. The man who took me in when I was 14 spoke
English and German, so the idea of speaking a "second" language seemed
pretty nature to me. I dedicate this web-page to Marjorie
